School Site Council (SSC) / Shared Decision Making (SDM) Parent Nomination Form

The school site council is a group of teachers, parents, classified employees, and students (at the middle and high school level) that works with the principal to develop, review and evaluate school improvement programs and school budgets. The members of the site council are generally elected by their peers. For example, parents elect the parent representatives and teachers elect teachers.​​

We currently have two openings. Please submit your interest to the front office by Thursday, August 31st.

2017 Summer Parent Letter

     Bell Schedule (see enclosed schedule):

Please note that there is an Early Release day on Thursday for all grades K-8. This enables our teachers to have a block of time to plan as a team and to make decisions that directly benefit the children at their grade level and or content areas.

 

Recommended School Supplies:  Pencils, pens, highlighters (multi-colored), glue sticks, ruler, expo markers, 3-hole college ruled lined paper, spiral notebooks for each subject, three ring binder with subject dividers.

 

6th Grade Orientation:  6th Grade Orientation is on Friday, August 4th from 8:00AM - 12:00 PM.  This event is for 6th grade students only and will have activities hosted by our student activities group named WEB (Where Everyone Belongs).  Students will meet new friends, play games, receive class schedules, tour the school, and have fun.

District’s Dress for Success Policy and School Safety (see enclosed flyer):  Please become familiar with these expectations, as they will help your child start the school year on the right path.

 

7th Grade TDAP Immunization:

All students entering 7th grade must provide the school with proof of a Tdap (Pertussis-whooping cough) booster shot before starting school. Getting a booster shot now will protect your child against the ongoing threat of pertussis and meet a mandatory school requirement.

 

·     If your child has already received the Tdap booster at age 7 years or older, please bring proof (immunization record) to the school office.

·     If your child has not received a booster shot, please obtain it immediately.

·     Proof must be submitted before the first day of school or the student will not be allowed to attend school.

No Shot/No Schedule/No School

 

Birthday Celebrations:  Although we like to acknowledge birthday celebrations, please do not send/bring food for you child and his/her classmates.  We have many students with food allergies and diet restrictions.  If you would like to celebrate your child’s birthday, you may send in small gifts, such as pencils, bookmarks, erasers or a children’s book for the teacher to read to the class.  As a courtesy, please talk with your child’s teacher before bringing any items to school.

 

ASES - Before and After School Care (see enclosed flyer):  We are thankful to have a partnership with an outstanding before and after school care program called ASES.  ASES is open to any student enrolled at Mesa Robles.  If you are interested in applying for this program, please contact one of the site directors.  Availability is limited and is on a first come, first serve basis.
